MultiCam’s ACU Camouflage Patterns

In Army force, tactical equipment including tactical clothing is very essential for the support of winning the battle. One of the most common used military clothing systems in the U.S. Army is the GEN III. The GEN III ECWCS clothing system is considered as the recent development in tactical equipment. As a successor of the GEN II, GEN III is more than a cold weather clothing system. It is specially designed for all climates and uses seven levels of protection including base, insulation, and shell layers. Since GEN III is not only used in training, but also used in the real operation and combat, this cold weather clothing is twenty five percent lighter than the previous ECWCS system and capable to protect soldiers in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 60°F. This MultiCam cold weather clothing system has been chosen as Army Combat Uniforms or ACU camouflage for U.S Army. Its foundation color of the pattern is a brown to light tan gradient which is dispersed in between a plain green shade dotted by light pink and dark brown spots. This color combination makes it easier for the user to hide in various heights, seasons, and lights. However, the most important feature of Camouflage Patterns is to blend in perfectly with the surrounding terrain. Blending in with the surrounding terrain is the prime feature of any camouflage pattern.
